Young, Anointed and Empowered Project
"Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it."
Dr. Marcus L. Arrington is the founder of Young, Anointed and Empowered Project. He is one among many of God’s servants with a burning passion to participate in the advancement of the Kingdom of God in the earth and help all people engage their destiny—age, creed, and ethnicity notwithstanding. Dr. Arrington enjoys working with teens and young adults. He has served as a Youth Pastor. He is a dedicated educator with 12 years of experience as a teacher and school-level administrator with Milwaukee Public Schools. Currently, Dr. Arrington serves as an assistant principal at Transition High School in Milwaukee, WI (MPS) where he and a team of educators help at-risk youths obtain academic credit recovery and experience socio-emotional growth.
Dr. Arrington has earned several degrees: Bachelor Degree in Social Science Education from Grambling State University (2001); Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University; Associate Degree in Theology from Grace Theological Seminary (2006); Doctorate in Christian Education from Hope Bible Institute and Seminary (2008); and a Doctorate of Education in the area of Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service (2014). In March 2011, Dr. Arrington self-published his first book entitled, Young, Anointed and Empowered. His second book, The African Presence in the Bible for Children, advances the notion that Blacks have always been included as well as involved in God's redemptive plan. And, it provides pictures of Blacks in scripture that can support the development of a healthy self-image among children of African descent. More important than any of his accomplishments, Dr. Arrington is a proud husband and father. He and his wife Crystal have two darling children: Jacen Marcel and Makaila Imani.
