Young, Anointed and Empowered Project
"Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it."
Young, Anointed and Empowered Project is an initiative designed to engage teens and young adults in critical analysis, reflection, dialogue, and action so they can transform their environment and world. Y.A.E. Project services and programs includes workshops that explore social, cultural, political, and theological realities and concepts; public speaking; creative and persuasive writing; and Triumph Book Club. This effort is based upon Marcus L. Arrington's book, Young, Anointed and Empowered. In this book, Marcus L. Arrington presents an uplifting message of hope to teens and college-aged students. Through transparent articulation of his own journey and the journeys of well-known biblical figures, he confirms that God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Y.A.E. Project encourages young people to courageously master internal and external elements that threaten the actualization of their essential being and challenges them to listen for and respond to God’s call to serve humanity. Though the target group is young people ages 13-25, Y.A.E. values the support and contribution of parents and concerned community members. We believe that the transformation of our world is a collective effort that requires everyone's intelligence, gifts, and commitment.
